Tools in the Analysis tab allow users to use a variety of methods to identify parcels and other data layers. Methods such as drawing a point, line or polygon to define features intersecting them are available. Tools for measuring distances and areas are also provided.
Note: Depending on how your map is configured, this tab or some of the tools described here may not display.

Show Layers Use this tool to show the layer list on the information panel. From here you can choose which layers you want shown on your map. You can even set the transparency on some layers. Simply check the box next to any layer you want displayed. Remember that if the layer is greyed out, it isn't available at this scale. You can still select the layer but it will only become visible when you are zoomed into the displayable scale. |

Point Identify Find features at a point on the map by using the Point Identify tool. Turn the tool on and click the map to list any features at that point. |

Freehand Identify You can select and highlight all features in a freehand area that you draw by using the Freehand Identify tool. |

Line Identify You can select and highlight all features in a line that you draw by using the Line Identify tool. |

Polygon Identify You can select and highlight all features in a polygon that you draw by using the Polygon Identify tool. |

Rectangle Identify You can select and highlight all features in a rectangle that you draw by using the Rectangle Identify tool. |

Query Use this tool to construct custom queries on specific layers using attributes from the layers. |

Filter Use this tool to filter your data by particular attributes. This allows you to see only the data you want to see. |

Measure Distance Use this tool to measure distance using a line. Select the tool and then click the measurement start point. Click again at the end point. You can continue to add segments of the line, as required. As you do, you will notice the measurement info changes to show the distance of the last segment. Double-click when you reach the last point to end the measurement. |

Measure Area Use this tool to measure area using a polygon. You use this like the Measure Distance tool, by clicking to select the outline points; but when you enclose an area within the polygon, that area is also measured. |

Add As Drawing Use this tool to add a measurements as drawing markups on the map. |

Erase Measure Use this tool to remove the selected measure from the map. |

Clear All Measures Use this tool to remove all measures from the map. |

Distance Units Use this tool to change the units that distance measurements are displayed in. |

Get XY Coord Use this tool to retrieve and display XY coordinates from the map. |
