Serve on a committee
Volunteer citizen committees help guide our work.
Some are permanent, like the Planning Commission, the Rural
Roads Operations and Maintenance Advisory Committee and
the Urban Road Maintenance District Advisory Committee.
Others are temporary, formed to provide guidance on
a particular project such as the Transportation System Plan
Update or a road improvement project. ITo learn more, call

Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-Landscape
Consider adopting a road to pick up litter or to maintain
roadway landscaping. Adopt-A-Road is LUT’s largest volunteer

Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD)
URMD is a County service district formed by urban unincorporated voters in 1987. It provides the funding
mechanism for maintenance of public neighborhood streets in urban areas outside of cities and for small-scale
safety improvements on roads within the district. URMD Safety Improvement projects funded in FY 2015–16:
