Soclean 2 Cartridge Filter Kit Replacement

The SoClean 2 filter kit contains a replacement filter with O-ring and a replacement check valve for the SoClean -2. The check valve and filter should be replaced every 6 months.

The SoClean filter assembly converts activated oxygen to normal oxygen as it leaves the SoClean chamber. The check valve prevents water from your CPAP from damaging your CPAP electronics.

How to change SoClean 2 - Cartridge Filter Kit ?

Open the SoClean so you can see inside the chamber. Remove the old filter from the SoClean by pulling it upwards. You can throw the old filter in the trash. Remove all protective films and adhesive tapes from the new filter. You may see some black particles on the filter or on your hands. They are due to debris during transport and may be dislodged by rubbing. Insert the new filter into the SoClean. Squeeze the current check valve tube and remove the tube. You may have to make a twisting motion. Repeat the process to remove the tubing on the other side. The direction of your new check valve is crucial. Your SoClean will not work if it is installed in the wrong direction.

The end of your new check valve has a label with two arrows that should point in the direction of your CPAP machine. Hold the barrel and insert the stem into the end of the tubing as far as it will go. The tubing should almost touch the check valve housing. Repeat the procedure for the other side of the check valve.

Resetting the SoClean should only be done after replacing the cartridge filter and check valve. Press and hold the manual and hourglass button simultaneously until you see a smiley face on the display. This indicates that the reset was successful and your SoClean is now ready for use.
