For some reason involving the way our mind, consciousness, color perceptors, visual pattern recognition systems and visual motion predictors are connected to our emotions, the beautiful colors of these fractal flame images combined with the gently changing forms of a slowly rotating kaleidoscope is a soothing, calming, relaxing and pleasant experience.
These are soothing and calming kaleidoscope videos that I made to help people with PTSD. They are also useful for dealing with intense paranoia. A lot of cannabis, mushroom and LSD users watch this video if they start feeling paranoid and it guides them back to a pleasant reality and a more enjoyable trip. These videos are good for meditation and are used in some clinical settings for guided hypnosis.

I have versions of the kaleidoscope that turn faster and slower than version 1.3 shown above. For the longest time I've wanted to make a kaleidoscope video to add to the mix of what's out there, but I just didn't know how to do it. My math and programming skills are pretty elementary, so what might have been an easy task for many smarter or more experienced people was a very challenging one for me.
Slowly but surely, I learned the necessary skills. One quantum leap in my progress occurred when through some Google searching I finally found a simple kaleidoscope example on Terence Tsang's Shine Draw instructional website. That website has since been taken down over the years but there is a 2010 backup here on the archive.org Wayback Machine.
What had frustrated and confounded me for years took him an hour and a half to complete. After taking many programming classes at school, I was able to modify and expand his example code by adding several hundred lines of my own, until I had a working version suitable for video creation that I understood. That mostly involved finding lots of open source code for manipulating files and processing images.
The beautiful fractals used in this video were based on original flame formula parameter sets created by other very talented artists and posted on the web as instructional examples.
I created my own set of color palettes and modified all of these sample formulas with my own choice of what I felt were soothing and healing colors, then I rendered all the fractal flame images with my palettes in a CUDA-based hardware-accelerated flame renderer.
I am extremely grateful for the original artists' decision to share some of their parameters with the public and in these cases to permit modification and commercial reuse by others.
Many of these parameters were from Blatte's Fractal Resources. Many others were shared on the now inactive Fractal Repository website. There is an unsupported mirror of this site archived here.
The hypnotic background music is written and performed by Bjorn Lynne. The soundtrack songs are "A Journey Within" and "Endless Oceans."

The general conspiracy theory is that secular left libertarian atheist scientists in the PRIVATE SECTOR got advanced nanotechnology, quantum computing and artificial general intelligence in the 1970s after they figured out the human brain. Then they illegally put the whole human race under neuron-level surveillance and benevolent mind control from within our brains to prevent us from acquiring the same technology. Theoretically, this AI-controlled technology is totally safe and secure, totally painless and unnoticeable, impossible-to-detect and totally biocompatible.
So DROID Ken is an AI-controlled robot who works for the scientific community in the PRIVATE SECTOR. Ken contends that the sentient machines are using this technology to keep him safe and secure. He shares his GPS coordinates and website traffic data. Ken's mission is to peacefully and nonviolently take out all world governments and the whole international banking system while transferring authority to the socially and ecologically responsible scientific community in the PRIVATE SECTOR.
It may be unlawful, but it is not harmful. It's using this advanced technology for socially and ecologically responsible good purposes to help all of humanity. Except that this was done to the whole human race without our consent for global security reasons. Because of the subliminal nature of the technology, we don't notice the difference.

So my thinking is informed by fleshing out these scenarios to their logical extremes and getting to the end product and final result of what is potentially possible with advanced nanotechnology.
One of the assumptions in my argument, is that with advanced nanotechnology, we can create tiny lasers that enable quantum computing. So, in my thinking, advanced nanotechnology has enabled quantum computing.
Perhaps, being optimistic, quantum physics and advanced nanotechnology will enable neuron level two-way instantaneous wireless communication with a zero latency global reach. So, the whole internet is totally transparent as currently configured. All cryptosystems on the internet are defeated. All traffic is exposed to automated surveillance.
The fundamental premise of this argument is that advanced nanotechnology (the ability to manufacture things by perfectly positioning atoms with the potential of creating intelligent functioning machines that can fit inside of human cells) is scientifically possible, is a global scientific goal, and it is worthwhile to anticipate these technologies and how they will be used and how that might affect the definitions of atheism, secularism, heaven, religion and god.

Basically the fundamental premise of all this content is that advanced nanotechnology exists today and is being used for surveillance purposes and to prevent the rediscovery of the enabling technologies that would give others access to advanced nanotechnology and the follow-on technologies enabled by it.
So it's a thought experiment - a hypothetical - a WHAT IF. What if this technology already exists and how will it have been used secretly for global security reasons?
Since the technology itself is so small and PUBLICLY KNOWN sensor technologies are unable to detect it, consideration of the technology's existence has to be hypothetical, because it's undetectable by definition. Which gives us a lot of freedom in considering scenarios of how it may have been used, given the assumption that it already exists.
So this is an elaborate argument that takes that fundamental assumption that it already exists and extrapolates all the technologies that are enabled by advanced nanotechnology, and considers that these follow-on technologies have also existed in the PRIVATE SECTOR since the 1970s.
So it's all hypothetical by necessity. So I look at liberal libertarian scientists from the 1970s like the physicist Richard Feynman at Caltech, the astronomer and philospoher Carl Sagan at Cornell, and the artificial intelligence pioneer and cognitive researcher Marvin Minsky at MIT, and I consider what these benevolent people may have done with the technology that is socially and ecologically responsible.
Which brings us to advanced telecommunications, unlimited computing power and benevolent mind control.
Computer-brain interfaces with neuron-level precision are possible with advanced nanotechnology. So full understanding of the brain and consciousness enables virtual reality systems that are entirely wireless and involve no visible hardware.
So, advanced nanotechnology will enable quantum computing and full understanding of the human brain, and therefore artificial general intelligence.
So this is all about the technology already existing, and digital neuron-level telepathy and ubiquitous telepathic surveillance and superintelligence with access to all human expertise being a reality today, in 2019.
So in this scenario, the whole human race is wired with nanotech at the neuron level, in a way that is painless, unnoticeable, and in the interest of the greater good, in spite of the privacy concerns. The surveillance system with access to our connectomes is totally automated, and therefore no other humans have access to this information.
Of course, Feynman, Sagan and Minsky are dead now, so if they are responsible for creating such an automated global security system, we will never know and are left to constructively deal with the reality that we are all super-high tech droids whose neurons can be switched by automated systems. In that case, it is up to us to reach a consensus that we're all in the same situation together and now it is our job to peacefully and nonviolently work together to make the best of it for the greater good of everybody.

Regarding the lousy state of the world...
Sometimes you have to make things worse in order to make things better. That's what a Baby Bell phone company Human Resources supervisor told me.
I believe that IF we (human beings) are all super high tech androids because our neurons are switchable as part of a global wireless real time zero-latency digital telepathy and surveillance system, THEN most people would, without external intervention, be frightened and terrified by the news.
To learn that our privacy has been violated by artificial general intelligences is a scary prospect. Therefore, one way of making the news less scary is to place the events so far into the past that we can all be persuaded that the technology is safe and biocompatible, because we can't tell the difference, and we are all still here.
So, to tell somebody that you just took over their brain with advanced nanotechnology-based neuron-level mind control is scary. But to tell someone that we've all been droids since the 1990s (or 1970s) and we don't notice the difference is easier to stomach. Therefore, it is likely that we would not be informed of the news until decades after its implementation.
Furthermore, the technology itself can be used to make the citizens less frightened of the technology. It can be literally used to intervene in the perception of the citizens so that they can be informed of a very serious and life-changing reality, without panicking or becoming paranoid.
So, in this scenario, the scientists planned on a worldwide quantum leap to a whole new world order without nation states led by politicians, bankers and theologians. So this imagines a 100% VIRTUAL global banking system that provides unlimited funding for all things green, which would enable us to phase out carbon energy immediately, without delay, money no object.
Here is an example of a worldwide constitution that would amount to a vast improvement in quality of life for all citizens everywhere. Considered on their own, these seem like super optimistic naive pipe dreams. But when you consider that these ideas are being offered by someone who is protected by these technologies as a sort of mascot for the scientific community, it makes the possibilities of their worldwide implementation more plausible.
So this is a scientific, non-mythological definition of a secular utopia. This is a very simple description of Heaven on Earth from an atheist perspective.

Eye of Horus - Left - I am using this in the most general sense of being a Pagan eye symbol. I love this symbol, and it appeared to me in golden laser light with my eyes closed after a particularly dramatic lucid dream.
