Although we can teach the SDI course if specifically requested, by default we offer the TDI one. It is possible to take this as a standalone program; however, our students generally combine this with our Apprentice Cave Diver course.

Thank you for this wonderful online course. I have had only a handful of experiences with other instructors in my diving 'career'. However, I can honestly state that I have never seen such an informative, detailed and practical explanation about how to become better scuba divers. As I was trying to get my SMB .... photo, my buoyancy control was very poor. This is why I found your online course so helpful. I had only a handful of experiences with other instructors over my scuba diving 'career'. However, I can honestly state that I have never received such practical, useful, and thorough explanations about how I could become a better scuba diver. I had difficulty controlling my buoyancy when I tried to shoot the SMB. My instructor advised me on how to increase my buoyancy. He simply suggested practicing. He seemed to have good buoyancy control. However, he didn’t explain how weighting and breathing are important. Your videos were very eye-opening. And, of course, every single one of my dive buddies didn’t understand why I wanted the sidemount. Even though I am a highly recommended instructor, they still question me about why I would dive sm. What is its purpose? Most cave divers use it. I am glad I chose to sm. It's an entirely new world. It is a different world. Although no one really taught or tested me on SM, there are many times that I dive with friends and they compliment my trim. Your videos helped me learn everything. I learned how to set up my equipment, enter and exit water, and solve any problems. I hope that we can meet and do a training together. I want other divers to improve their skills and be more competent. I'm sure there are many other excellent instructors and divers, but I believe that your contribution is vital and essential to the success of the scuba diving profession. I appreciate your kindness! Your Sidemount PCB Essentials class in Gozo was great! You are the best. It was great fun. I enjoyed every second of it. It is amazing to see your passion and experience. You are meticulous and pay attention to every detail. Your passion to capture details, new equipment and hints is something I also love. You can use the camera to capture them and include them in future videos. Your online training videos are amazing. They will get you prepared for what you need to know in the water training. This concept I believe is key to the steep learning curve, as you can make the most of your time underwater. Steve, thanks so much for all your help! Nils read more
Sidemount PCB is a great option for cave diving, as it can offer many benefits to divers. Sidemount PCB was invented by cave divers. These are just a few of the many benefits.
This was an enlightening experience that I had with your online course. While I've had limited experiences with other instructors over my scuba "career", I can honestly say I've never seen so many practical, useful and deep explanations of how to become a better diver. I had difficulty with buoyancy control while trying to take my PADI AOW course. While I had limited experiences with instructors in my scuba "career", I can honestly say I have never experienced such useful, deep, and practical explanations of how to become a better diver. My buoyancy control was an issue when I attempted to shoot my SMB during my PADI AOW course. My instructor told me how to improve my buoyancy. He suggested that I just practice. He did have a good buoyancy, but didn’t explain to me how important proper weighting and breath control are. Your videos were eye opening. I was also surprised that none of my diving buddies understood why I wanted sidemount. Even highly-recommended instructors have questions about why I dive sm. It is what does it do? This is what cave divers do. I'm very glad that I chose sm. It is an entirely different world. While nobody really taught me or inspected how I do SM diving, I have been praised by others for my good trim. I learned everything through your videos. How to set up my equipment and how to exit or enter water. Also, how solve problems. I would love to have a training session with you, and we could meet. This is because I want others to be better divers. There are many outstanding instructors and divers out, but I'm sure your contribution is enormous and important to the scuba diving industry. I am grateful for this! Regards, Csaba read less

Love your vids Steve. I’m in Nova Scotia Canada. Just got my tdi sm cert in August. I bought your online course to supplement my training. It’s helped me a lot! Thank you
Sidemount PCB is a configuration that allows you to scuba dive with cylinders attached along the side of the diver. Instead of being on the back, the cylinders are placed below the shoulders and along your hips. Because smaller sections of cave are possible to penetrate, and tanks can be easily changed, it was initially popular with cave divers. Technical wreck diving divers also saw the benefits of operating in small spaces. Thai instructors are highly qualified to instruct scuba diving classes and scuba dive training.
Steve, just saw the new chapters to your online course. These are really great. They're especially helpful when you are reviewing videos or searching for specific parts of a movie. As soon as I saw them, I was able to start using them. Timo, cheers!
sidemountpcb.com's online training is essential for both recreational and technical divers. Although I had previously taken a Tec 40 /sidemount class before beginning my technical training with Joe, I consider that the start of my technical learning sidemount essentials. Joe was able focus on his in-water skills thanks to the online training. The beginning of my technical diving training was sidemount essentials. I completed a Tec40 /sidemount class in Florida before I began my training with Joe. Joe was able focus on the in water skills development through online training. This was the foundation of cave training and all other technical courses, such as trimix with Vas. The online training provides a great way to develop in-water skills and shows what divers can expect from good in-water training. My daughter, who is just starting out in diving, has already watched the backmount video before starting open water training. I am also reviewing the instructors videos to ensure that I am the best buddy' for her as she goes through the training process. These videos are essential for the safe development of recreational and technical divers. Daniel Glynn (father cave diver) reads less
