Shell Island Boats is smaller than larger boats, which can carry up to 150 passengers. Our Large Family Cruiser boat holds 15 passengers. Children are not allowed on our boat. With your snorkel gear on, we can get you in the water quickly without causing any disruptions or splashes that may scare the dolphins.

St. Andrews State Park's waters are great for experienced and beginning kayakers. There are plenty of great spots for swimming and snorkeling, along with an interesting shoreline. Paddlers who are experienced may wish to make the crossing from Shell Island. It is best to rent a Shell Island kayak rental package. This includes a ride on the Shell Island Boats.
Shell Island is a nature preserve with no restrooms or any other visitor facilities such as trash receptacles, picnic tables, or shade pavilions. There is no trash removal service. Island visitors are asked to be responsible and take everything they bring to the Island with them when they leave.
There is no limit to the activities you can experience at or on Shell Island! You can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, go kayaking, sunbathe, hunt seashells, go hiking, have a picnic, and more!
Shell Island has a fascinating amount of local wildlife including dolphins, loggerhead turtles, green sea turtles, ghost crabs, beach mice, nine-banded armadillos, alligators that live in the lake on the island, marsh rabbits, racoons and more.
