FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their biggest expenditures people always have a lotof questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are some of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you’re a certified roofing professional, most roofing jobs should not be performed yourself. In addition remember that almost all manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the work. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health so you can save money?

It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! However there really is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of unique products available and each and every one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the ideal roof for your home, you ought to have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends upon the type of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are required. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on a number of days then this is going to add more time to the task. A smaller home might take around a week or so, whereas larger industrial projects could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Considering that your roof is continuously subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is will degrade with time. The speed at which it breaks down will depend upon a range of factors. Those include; the grade of the initial components that were used along with the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the type of roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be promised because of the above issues. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any protective materials that have been included to give shielding from the weather. Aside from that, you really should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they could also reduce the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.
