FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their largest financial investments people usually have a ton of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, most roofing work should not be carried out yourself. Additionally remember that a lot of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the task. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof could be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple answer to this question! However, there really is no one answer fits all for each question like that. There are plenty of unique products available and each one has its own benefits and faults. To determine which is the best roof for you, you should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely is dependent on the kind of roof and exactly what surveys are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this will certainly add more time to the job. A smaller home may take about a week or so, while larger industrial projects might be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just ensure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Given that your roof is constantly subjected to the weather, it means your roof is will break down gradually. The speed at which it breaks down will depend upon a number of factors. These include; the grade of the original materials that were used and the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of eliminating any protective materials that have been added to provide shielding from the elements. On top of that, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they could also lower the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will get rid of the undesirable algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

More About Thomasville, NC
Thomasville is a city in Davidson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 26,757 at the 2010 census.[4] The city is notable for its furniture industry, as are its neighbors High Point and Lexington. This Piedmont Triad community was established in 1852 and hosts the state’s oldest festival, “Everybody’s Day”. Built around the local railway system, Thomasville is home to the oldest railroad depot in the state, just a few hundred feet from the city’s most notable landmark, “The Big Chair”.
John Warwick Thomas was born June 27, 1800, and by age 22 owned 384 acres (155 ha) in the Cedar Lodge area after marrying Mary Lambeth, daughter of Moses Lambeth. By age 30 he was a state representative. In 1848 he became a state senator. He pushed to get a railroad built through Davidson County and even invested money. Knowing the railroad was coming, Thomas built the community’s first store in 1852 at present-day West Main and Salem streets, and the community was named “Thomasville” for its founder. In 1855 the North Carolina Railroad was built through Davidson County, reaching Thomasville November 9. On January 8, 1857, Thomasville was incorporated and occupied one square mile, with the railroad dividing the town into north and south sections.
