FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their biggest investments people usually have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are a number of the most common ones…
Unless you are a properly trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks should never be undertaken yourself. Also keep in mind that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the task. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health so you can save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple response to this question! However, there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are so many different products readily available and each one has its own benefits and disadvantages. To determine which is the ideal roof for your home, you really should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends on the kind of roof and what inspections are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on certain days then this will add more time to the job. A small home may take around a week or so, while much larger industrial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Given that your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will break down gradually. The rate at which it degrades will depend upon a number of variables. Those include; the grade of the initial materials that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any covering minerals that have been included to offer protection from the weather. Also, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also lower the lifespan of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the unsightly algae and discoloration without damaging the tile or shingles.

If you’re try to find an aesthetically pleasing roofing system, this is probably not the type you wish to choose. When presented on a roofing system, EPDM looks a bit like an unfurled inner tube. The black color, which is the color EPDM most usually comes in, can include a good deal of tension to your air conditioning systems since it absorbs most of the sun’s rays and exterior heat. To help you acquire an understanding of what it requires to construct a quality commercial roofing system, we’re going to look at the most common categories of commercials roofs and the roofing materials utilized to develop them. It is essential to note that many commercial roofing systems are either flat or low slope, which limits the available roofing materials.

It’s built with numerous layers (stacks). This is a flexible roof type as the number of layers can be differed to help control costs or satisfy certain sturdiness requirements you might need to attend to. It’s an extremely old low-slope roof system, and is one of the most affordable and difficult roof types offered today.
Metal roofing likewise has the benefit of having an attractive, finished look, however when budget plan and toughness are of the utmost significance, it’s smart to go with what works best instead of what looks best. Metal roofing systems do, however, have strong fire resistance ratings, and are both more powerful and more resilient compared to traditional industrial roof options.
