FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their biggest investments people typically have a number of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a few of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a certified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. Additionally keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the work. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a straight forward response to that question! However, there actually is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are many different products available and each one will have its own benefits and faults. To know which is the best roof for you, you really should have a contractor come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they see, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends on the type of roof you currently have and exactly what inspections are required. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on certain days then this is going to add time to the task. A smaller home may take around a week or so, whereas much larger commercial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just ensure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Since your roof is always subjected to the weather, this means your roof is will degrade over time. The rate at which it degrades will depend on a number of variables. Those include; the quality of the initial components used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any protective materials that have been included to give cover from the weather. On top of that, you really should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can also cut down the life of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will get rid of the ugly algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

If you’re try to find a visually pleasing roof, this is most likely not the type you want to choose. When presented on a roofing, EPDM looks a bit like an unfurled inner tube. The black color, which is the color EPDM most normally is available in, can add a good deal of tension to your air conditioning systems due to the fact that it soaks up most of the sun’s rays and outside heat. To help you gain an understanding of what it takes to construct a quality industrial roofing system, we’re going to look at the most typical categories of commercials roofing systems and the roofing products utilized to create them. It is essential to note that the majority of industrial roofing systems are either flat or low slope, which limits the readily available roof products.

It’s developed with several layers (piles). This is a versatile roofing system type as the variety of layers can be varied to assist control expenses or meet certain sturdiness requirements you may require to attend to. It’s a very old low-slope roof system, and is among the most affordable and hard roofing types available today.
Metal roofing also has the advantage of having an attractive, completed appearance, but when budget and durability are of the utmost value, it’s smart to go with what works best instead of what looks finest. Metal roofings do, however, have strong fire resistance scores, and are both more powerful and more long lasting compared to conventional commercial roof options.
