FAQs
Being one of their biggest financial investments people always have a many questions prior to makingany decisions , listed here are a few of the more common ones…
Unless you are a certified roofing professional, most roofing work should not be undertaken yourself. Also bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the work. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof may be very risky, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we could give you a straight forward response to this question! But there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of different products readily available and each one will have its own merits and faults. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you really should have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they have seen, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually is dependent on the type of roof you have and exactly what evaluations are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add time to the job. A small home could take around a week or so, while more substantial commercial projects can be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just be sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Since your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will diminish over time. The speed at which it breaks down will depend upon a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the original components used and the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of eliminating any protective materials that have been included to provide cover from the elements. On top of that, you should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also decrease the life-span of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the undesirable algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

Naturally, with time the roof starts to weaken from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roof does not fall apart at one time however rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roof examinations find these weak areas early prior to they spread out and trigger serious damage to part or the whole roof.
Roofing system evaluations at regular intervals root out roofing system issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life-span of your roofing system. Most property owners just take note of their roofing systems when there is visible damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Reality is, with regular evaluation such issues are usually evaded.

Roofing examinations save you both cash and time and are among the a lot of fundamental roofing maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can cause a roof’s condition to degrade with time. These are the results homeowners are least mindful of due to the fact that the indications are subtle and take time to show.: Weather aspects are the main reason for roof damage.
The weather condition gradually wears away and wears down the roofing material, and put strain onto the roofing structure. Poor or absence of roof maintenance practices such as cleansing, painting, mold removal and snow scraping contribute to the using down of the roof. Not all roofing specialists are as great as advertised. Due to lack of skill or simply carelessness, a roof is improperly set up, affecting its efficiency as a roof and its strength to damage.
