FAQs
Being one of their biggest financial investments people usually have a many questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing work really should not be undertaken yourself. Also bear in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the job. Something else to keep in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health in order to save money?
It would be great if we were able to give you a simple answer to that question! However there really is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are many different products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for you, you really should have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they have seen, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends on the kind of roof and exactly what surveys are mandated. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A small home might take around a week or so, whereas more substantial industrial jobs could be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just see to it your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Considering that your roof is constantly subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will degrade with time. The speed at which it degrades will depend upon a number of variables. These include; the grade of the initial components used and the workmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above variables. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any covering minerals that have been added to provide cover from the weather. Also, you really should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also lower the lifespan of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will clear away the unsightly algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

Find out more Think about the roof as your home’s first line of defense versus all the weather aspects. Naturally, gradually the roofing begins to compromise from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roofing system does not collapse simultaneously but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roof examinations discover these vulnerable points early before they spread and cause extreme damage to part or the whole roof.
Roofing inspections at routine intervals root out roofing system problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. Many property owners only pay attention to their roofings when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Reality is, with routine evaluation such problems are normally averted.

Roofing system inspections conserve you both money and time and are one of the most fundamental roofing upkeep practices. There are a number of aspects that can trigger a roof’s condition to degrade with time. These are the results house owners are least knowledgeable about because the indications are subtle and require time to show.: Weather condition components are the primary cause of roof damage.
The weather slowly wears away and wears down the roofing product, and put pressure onto the roof structure. Poor or lack of roof upkeep practices such as cleaning, painting, mold removal and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roofing. Not all roof experts are as excellent as advertised. Due to lack of ability or simply carelessness, a roofing system is poorly installed, affecting its efficiency as a roofing and its strength to damage.
