The ways of presenting material on the web in different media have become much richer in the past few years, especially with the improvements in digital photography and hi-definition video, font embedding and a wider support for HTML5, CSS3 and Scalable Vector Graphics.
There hasnʼt been much discussion of what these changes in quality can mean for the presentation of material of different kinds and what they, in turn, will mean in improving teaching and learning using the web to deliver them. Also which are most effective and how, and which cost the least, and why.
I would like to develop that discussion with this web site.
If anyone has anything about the presentation of material on the web they would like to have posted, send it to me. Keep them between 100 and 1000 words. I will be adding posts of my own on different topics more or less weekly.
Links to the new posts will be on this page, as well as on the page that relates to the topic of the post.
I wonʼt have comments, because they are mostly applause or rants, neither of which contribute to a thoughtful discussion.
