From April through November, the season for sea turtles in Destin is varied. These beautiful creatures are more commonly seen in July and August. The famous East Pass of Destin is Man-Made. They started digging a path from Choctawhatchee Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. They clearly had the right idea. The flood waters were released the day after the digging started and they rushed through creating what we now call the East Pass.

Dolphins have a reputation of being friendly. However, they are wild animals and should be treated with respect. People can make dolphin behavior worse by interacting with them. They become less wary and are more vulnerable to shark attack or vandalism.
Captain John was wonderful as well as his side kick, Layla. We saw multiple dolphins, jumped in with them, saw turtles, rays and crabs. He also took us to a private beach to search for shells and carried our bucket full back for us. It was great to customize for what we wanted to do as we had a 14, 12 and 10 year old. Great time was had by all!!!”

It's all worth it once you get there. It is the most beautiful water that I have ever seen. It's like swimming in a clear pool. We weren't sure what to expect, so we set out to spend a few hours at the island. Don't expect to be there all day.
