Recently, I was lamenting to a friend
the lack of Mixed Tag Team Matches on WWE programming. Granted, they
don't make a terrible amount of sense, since much of the psychology
of tag team matches is removed by the necessity to tag in and out
when your opponents do, but it's a decent way to get some Divas on
television without forcing your audience to watch some skinny bitch
roll up Beth Phoenix on a weekly basis.
Even better, the particular Mixed Tag
Team Match we saw this week featured real life couple Tyson Kidd and
Natalya. It seems like it's been ages since we've seen Kidd on
Raw, which is a shame, as he's a talented guy able to work a number
of different styles. Hopefully with the ongoing World Heavyweight
Championship of the similar sized Daniel Bryan, we'll start to see
guys like Kidd on television more.
