The 1960s Batman television show was not only one of the greatest shows ever, but it was also a significant player when it came to recycled footage. Obviously they used the same footage over and over for things like the Batmobile entering or exiting the Bat-Cave, but that's kid stuff.
With the larger budget provided for the Batman film, producers were able to bring three new Bat-Vehicles into the Bat-Fold: the Bat-Boat, the Bat-Copter, and the Bat-Cycle. From that point on, Batman's new rides were part of the show, but only in footage recycled from the film. Because it's Batman, the cost-cutting resort comes off more hilarious than embarrassing.
