So the big deal with Dexter after the last season is that the show is skipping a whole year into the future. Moving ahead has given the show a chance to jettison annoying baggage and make Harrison more of a character and less of a plot device. When we pick up, a few things have changed. Angel and LaGuerta's marriage is over, for one, but Quinn and Deb are still together. Dexter has bought the apartment next to his old one and hired Angel's sister as a live-in nanny, which means he can come and go fairly undetected. Lumen? Nobody mentions her the whole damn episode, which means that Season 5 is basically forgotten.
