I love a good single-player game, especially as the older I get, the less interested I am in having extremely talented middle schoolers call my manhood, sexuality and personal self-worth into question online. If I wanted to be called a f****** and a n***** for the rest of my life, I never would have moved away from Virginia, thanks. Still, while I might enjoy the hours upon hours upon hours it takes to fast-travel between cities, gathering alchemy ingredients, I recognize that there's absolutely no one ever who wants to just watch that happen.

Skyrim isn't just a single-player game, it's an aggressively single-player game - so aggressive in fact that just playing it in front of someone can result in them starting to wonder why it is they've stayed with you for all of these years in the first place. Game of Thrones, however, is much more easily construed as a group activity, especially if whoever you're watching with has a thing for exceedingly handsome dwarves.
