One of Futurama's best recurring gags lies in the show's complete inability to find any kind of rational or consistent biology for the Decapodians, and we wouldn't have it any other way. As if the multiple redundant organs of "Roswell That Ends Well" weren't enough to wrap our heads around, try deciphering Zoidberg's multiple evolutions as he ages backwards!
We're not exactly up on our marine biology, but we're pretty sure lobsters don't evolve from coral, clams, lamprays or brine. At least outside of Pokemon.
