The Ood are a strange race of creatures whose faces resemble cephalopods. Basically, a more pleasant-looking version of Davy Jones. The Doctor first meets them as a meek and fully-obedient slave race, capable of communicating both telepathically and through special translation spheres attached to their bodies. Something isn't right about these “perfect slaves,” however, and the Doctor soon finds out just hat that “something” is. But are they commiting evil acts on their own or is something much more sinister behind it? (Spoilers.)
