	Well, we finally made it!
Hours of waiting on line for Ballroom 20 (and a quick glimpse of Nestor
Carbonell peeking his head out of the press room), but we'd brave anything for
Sarah Michelle Gellar.
That's right; we're at the Ringer panel at San Diego Comic-Con
2011, on hand to give you everything we caught from the new serie
- Sarah Michelle Gellar is thrilled to be back partying
at comic-con, but Ioan Gruffudd's favorite moment as a newbie is seeing other people in blue spandex.

- Eric Charmelo says that three seasons of the series
have been conceived, and Bridget will "maybe" know more about
what happened to Siobahn by the end of Season One.

- The first season focuses heavily on Bridget's story,
but plays with time and perspective in that you see Siobahn and Bridget in
     flashbacks quite a bit.

- Ioan Gruffudd's character isn't so much of a villain,
but rather someone desperately trying to hang on to his sense of
     family.

- Could we learn more about Victor?  An eyeline
fetish?  An office in a Hatch?  Nestor says that it's all about
moral ambiguity in the serialized thriller, so there might be secrets in
     his past too.

- They've talked, or at least joked about bringing
Freddie Prinze Jr. into the mix.

- The CW raised the serialized aspect of the show when it
moved from CBS, and enabled a more youthful soundtrack and audience.
Gellar says "you can take more risks on The CW."

- Season one will answer questions (unlike LOST)
but raise others.  Most answers will lead to deeper wells of mystery.

- Gellar found herself genuinely surprised by the first
read of the script, and wanted to get back to TV.  She questioned
"can you do that on TV?"

- "There are things that we allude to that caused a
huge rift between the sisters...there's one inciting incident that caused
     irreparable damage," says Charmelo.

- Ringer's fight sequences utilize more stunt doubles than they
ever did on Buffy, to Sarah
     Michelle Gellar's surprise.

- Kris Polaha auditioned with Sarah Michelle Gellar for
the role of Riley on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

- Poor Ioan Gruffudd confesses to never having heard of
The CW but is excited to be considered "young enough, as a 37 year
     old."

- Nestor says that you won't see too much of Victor's
personal life, and he actually likes it that way. Like Richard Alpert, he
prefers the more mysterious beats of the characters.

- The writers confirm that despite its heavy roster of
sci-fi actors, there will be absolutely NO supernatural elements to Ringer.

- Jaime Murray (Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Dexter)
will be appearing as a guest star!

Be sure to tune into the premiere of
Ringer on September 13th,
continuing Tuesdays at The CW!
