True Lies

Release date: July 15, 1994

The Pitch:

The Tasker family hits a turning point when Dad is revealed to be a covert black ops agent.

Why You Need It:

One of the last great Schwarzenegger action movies, True Lies is a tasty blend of action, romance and humor, featuring a first act filled with fairly gentle self-deprecating humor, a second act with Jamie Lee Curtis dancing seductively in her underwear and a third act with a bunch of terrorists getting shot and blown up. It's a non-stop thrill ride anchored by an awesome supporting cast, including the very underrated Tom Arnold as Tasker's wisecracking partner. And, yes, a bad guy gets shot by a Sidewinder missile into the blades of a helicopter. Fun!

Talent:

James Cameron (director), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bill Paxton, Tom Arnold, Eliza Dushku, Tia Carrere, Charlton Heston, Art Malik, Grant Heslov.
