Jennifer's Body

Because Megan Fox gets possessed by a demon and starts seducing and eating boys. Jennifer's Body is a smart and subversive portrait of high school hell, thanks to director Karyn Kusama maintaining an off-kilter, weirdo tone as a hot flag girl (the perfectly cast Fox) develops a monstrous appetite and goes on a ravenous rampage. The film also successfully explores the delicate and convoluted relationship that is "best friends" - Amanda Seyfried is rather excellent as Needy, the pal who doesn't know whether to stand by or stand up to Jennifer when she starts acting all weird. Jennifer's Body might be trying a little too hard at times, but you can hardly blame it for wanting to please - and surprise - today's jaded horror movie audiences, which it most certainly does.
