Sasha is a professional Russian assassin sent by Serbian general Miroslav Lokar to track down and kill Naval Flight Officer Lieutenant Chris Burnett, whose plane was shot down in Serbian-controlled Bosnia. He delights in tracking down the American, knowing he has home field advantage and confident that his skills are far superior to his opponent's. Sasha severely underestimates his opponent and ends up getting shot by the Navy man several times - this doesn't kill the badass Russian, though, and the two engage in hand-to-hand combat.
