Dakota Whitney is the ASAC (Assistant Special Agent in Charge) of the FBI investigation involving Father Joe Fitzgerald Crissman, a priest defrocked for pedophilia who claims to be having psychic visions a missing G-woman. Whitney confronts Doctor Dana Scully, a former FBI agent now working as a staff physician at a Catholic hospital, about locating the fugitive Fox Mulder, the former head of the FBI's X Files division, as Whitney correctly believes Mulder is just the man to help with such a bizarre case. Mulder and Scully end up assisting Whitney with the investigation, which becomes increasingly more strange and dangerous - she is killed when a suspect she's chasing through a construction site pushes her down a shaft, causing her to fall several stories to her death.
