Amy Carson is the estranged wife of Ben Carson, a New York City police detective under suspension after shooting another officer. The Carsons are in the middle of a trial separation, with Amy living in their suburban home with their young son, Michael. Amy loves her husband but lives in fear of him as he struggles with emotional distress as well as being a recovering alcoholic. After Ben starts claiming there's something sinister lurking inside the reflective surface of mirrors, Amy accuses him of taking up drinking again and their marriage is on even rockier ground. However, she soon discovers that her husband is right... and that the entire Carson family is the target of a demon's wrath, which results in Amy frantically running around the house in a wet T-shirt.
