Alisa Donnikova is a a young and beautiful witch prone to mischief and mind manipulation. In Night Watch, she assists a female vampire in tracking down a young boy named Yegor by giving the vampire Yegor's goggles, which carry the boy's scent. She later reveals to Yegor that he is Anton Gorodetsky's son, and that Anton tried to have Yegor killed before he was born, which leads to a heartbroken and enraged Yegor becoming a Dark Other. In Day Watch, she is forced to be the lover of the leader of the Dark Others, Zavulon, after he gives her a ring. The ring makes them linked and Alisa is unable to take it off, though she eventually breaks the bond by cutting off her finger. Sometimes you have to do such things when you're a witch.
