Super Spy: The Lost Dossiers by Matt Kindt (Top Shelf) $12.95
If Matt Kindt's 2007 masterpiece Super Spy is the Pulp Fiction or Memento of World War II espionage comics, then The Lost Dossiers is like the DVD special features on those DVDs. Available now, this book is a hodge podge of brand new content, cut-out fun, journal entries and, possibly most importantly for Super Spy fans, a list of annotations for the first book. The stories themselves are of the same quality as Kindt's previous work while the annotations definitely splash some light on some potentially unknown aspects of the original story.
Kindt also includes a series of pin-ups and postcard art that he did for Super Spy's predecessor 2 Sisters, but the most interesting one for mainstream comic fans might be his interpretation of characters like Scott Summers, Jean Grey and Professor Xavier, The Shadow, Doc Savage and James Bond.
All in all, The Lost Dossier, like the aforementioned special features, is purely for the die hard fans who have deservedly dissected Super Spy like an episode of Lost and need a little bit more information, like a certain key code and a potentially headache inducing example of 3D that doesn't require glasses, just eye crossing.
