New York gubernatorial candidate Jimmy McMillan won America’s hearts with his impassioned speeches on behalf of the Rent Is Too Damn High party. Too bad he’s nutty as a fruitcake – at various points in his political career, he’s taken the Brooklyn Bridge hostage, been doused in gasoline and almost burned alive, and claimed that high rents are the fault of the Jews. Yeah, that’ll fly in New York City.
