A true gadgethound like yourself surely faces that gnarliest
of problems: not enough ports. Yes, it's convenient that tons of consumer
electronics now use USB as a standard charging/connecting protocol. But, there
never seems to be enough slots or electrical outlets to keep your stuff all
juiced up. These sockets pump out a standard 5V of power, compatible with most
portable electronics. If you're handy enough to install these into your abode's
walls, the U-Sockets will make your life a lot easier.

Who can resist a photo booth? They're always a
great excuse for sticking out your tongue, picking your nose or having a young
lady sit on your lap. Of course, you can't carry a photo booth in your pants
pockets. But you can load up Incredibooth on your iPhone 4 and get a pretty
cool simulation. The app comes from the same minds that made Hipstamatic, the
lo-fi photography emulator, and like Hipstamatic, you can mix various different
lens and film effects to wind up with really cool arty shots. It only works
with iPhone 4, though, since it uses both the touchscreen and the front-facing
camera. You can send the snaps as a strip or individually and send them
straight to Facebook. Incredibooth.
Because goofy close-ups shouldn't only happen in a bar.

Hulu's announced the creation of a new premium subscription
service that will let users stream the site's TV content to a variety of
devices. One modest fee lets you watch all of Hulu's content, plus full passes
for current seasons of various TV shows, across multiple devices. It'll also
let you pick up where you left off on different platforms. The Plus action
starts rolling out this month on select Samsung HDTVs and Blu-ray players and
should be coming to PS3s in a short while too.

Look, you're a reader. You take the written word seriously
and the nasty glare off the iPad makes Apple's slate a dealbreaker. Lucky for
you, Amazon's introduced a new version of their premium e-reader that's better
than ever. The screen of the new Kindle DX measures at 9.7" and packs an
improved high-contrast e-ink screen. Best of all, the 3G connection used to
download books, PDFs and newspapers is absolutely free and works abroad. Load
your library up and get all literary.
