Flight Control
It's simple, but it's so hard to put down. It's been out for a while, and Flight Control has sunk its air traffic controller teeth into many an iPhone owner, but now there's even more of a reason to play a game based on a job you're not even remotely qualified to do: unlockable achievement points. Go ahead, look up towards the great blue yonder and see if you can help those planes land safely.

Cro-Mag Rally
Sure, it's no Mario Kart, but that doesn't mean Cro-Mag Rally isn’t one of the best cart racers on the iPhone, and now that it's Game Center compatible you can take your pre-historic races online. It may have been one of the App Stores centerpiece launch titles, but this Rally's still worth a spin.
