When Zombies Attack!

Heed the warnings of the actors and director of 28 Weeks Later to see what they'd do if zombies attacked

In 2004, 28 Days Later re-invented the zombie genre. Forget the undead, slow-moving, mindless corpses that have scoured the Earth in previous films, in the post-apocalyptic sequel 28 Weeks Later, the Rage-infected zombies are fully-functional human beings hell bent on infecting anyone and everyone. With 28 Weeks Later set to terrorize audiences worldwide, UGO takes to the streets of London to help maintain calm and keep you alive. All you have to do is heed the warnings of the actors and director of 28 Weeks Later to see what they'd do if zombies attacked during a real Rage outbreak.

While Danny Boyle thrilled and chilled the world with 28 Days Later, he passed on the directoral reigns to Spanish helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo for the sequel. Not only did Juan Carlos direct this chilling installment of the franchise, he also collaborated with Rowan Joffe, Jesus Olmo and Enrique Lopez Lavigne in writing 28 Weeks Later. As the brains behind this zombie-esque thriller, Juan Carlos' advice may be the most important. Sure enough, this Spanish director had to agree with the actors on the first thing to do in case of a zombie attack. "Obviously, with an outbreak like this one, the first thing I would do? Run away from all these people, obviously, because they are so dangerous." But, what if, like one of the characters in the film, Juan Carlos had to choose between saving his wife and saving himself? Would he run from his wife like Don did in the movie? "That's a good question. To be honest, if I were in that situation, probably I would do the same. Probably, but I'm not sure. I would need to be there, but I understand very well why that character would do that, because sometimes, you have those kind of dilemmas. It's not related to being a coward or not, it's sometimes that your survival instincts are more powerful than other instincts."
