It's Kind Of A Funny Interview
The minute Zach Galifianakis came into the room for a small roundtable discussion with journalists after a screening of It's Kind of a Funny Story, I flashed on something. Whoever did hair on this movie had the easiest job in the world. Zach Galifianakis' crazy skull-shrub that you see in the production stills for It's Kind of a Funny Story is exactly how he looks in real life. And that, I think, is a nice metaphor for just how cool Mr. Galifianakis is.
We gummed a bit about the making of this new mental ward dramedy and how he prepared for the role, but sadly there were no ferns in sight.
Note: I did my best to get a little info about Hangover 2, but Zach is clearly a guy who has mistakenly leaked to the press before and is super cautious because of it. "I've learned that when you speak to reporters they will report on it!" he joked, and politely and quickly changed the subject.
It's Kind of a Funny Story is in theaters this Friday, October 8.
