Win A Paranormal Activity Party

Looks like the winning team behind this flick aren't just taking a deserved victory lap, they are figuring out ways to keep going to the movie fun. And for that they deserve the Nobel Prize.

Looks like the winning team behind the marketing of Paranormal Activity aren't just taking a deserved victory lap.  They are figuring out ways to keep going to the movies fun.  And for that they deserve the Nobel Prize.

There's an audience contest afoot and, if you'll indulge me, I must advocate for my city for a moment.

As a New Yorker, I felt hurt that my town was not one of the initial thirteen picked for the beginning of its now legendary theatrical run.  Lincoln, Nebraska?  Are you joking?  What, they put some bleachers in a corn field or something?

But now we have a chance to redeem ourselves.  The good people at Paramount are running a contest RIGHT NOW where the top 10 theaters that sell out their midnight screening for this Thursday, Oct 23 (that's late night Oct 22, if you have a problem with the way clocks work) will have a "special party screening."

I imagine hats and toys and noisemakers other fun treats.  I'm sure it'll be a blast.  But I also have a hunch that if the theater happens to be in a city where lots of cool people already live (like, say, New York) there might be some special guests there.

So get in gear, everyone.  Let's bring this cool upstart movie to a town filled with antagonistic and independent people: NY EFFIN C.  And if you don't live in New York, here's your opportunity to once again rub my face in defeat.

More relevant info on how the contest works on the film's official site.  Now go buy a ticket!
