Will Ferrell is a comedy-making machine, so naturally, in addition to the absolutely great-looking Casa de mi Padre, the actor has a slew of other movies potentially in the works. At a press event for Everything Must Go, the fine folks at Cinema Blend caught up with Ferrell to figure out what's next and exactly which films he'll be sequelizing.

Coming off Casa de mi Padre, Farrell's next project is Southern Rivals with Zach Galifianakis. The two actors will play politicians running against one another in a small South Carolina congressional district. No real details on the movie yet, but we're going to go out on a limb and say it'll feature some wacky southern accents and both Ferrell and Galifianakis doing something embarassing.

Chris Kattan still has his fingers crossed for Another Night at the Roxbury.

The real news for Ferrell-fanatics, however, has to do with sequels to some of his most beloved movies. First up, the good stuff: Ferrell claims to have talked with both Step Brothers director Adam McKay and costar John C. Reilly about a sequel to the 2008 film. Nothing is definite of course, but the three of them seem to all be theoretically onboard. No word yet on whether Ferrell will reprise the role of Mugatu in Ben Stiller's Zoolander 2, however.

But what will surely come as a disappointment for the Ferrell-faithful is the current no-go status of Anchorman 2. Ferrell has some kind of wacky scheme to start the project off as a Broadway musical which would later be developed into a film, but apparently Paramount just doesn't see enough dollar signs to make it work. We hate leaving you with bad news though, so check out the trailer for Case de mi Padre and get ready to laugh your culo off:
