Remember back to the late 1990s: Britney Spears was on the jukebox, we were optimistic about the new Star Wars flicks and all was right with the world. Meanwhile, the weird kids you knew were all talking about the Upright Citizens Brigade sketch show and some guy named Harold.
Flash-forward a decade and the stars of UCB have gone on to appear in movies and television while maintaining improv theaters in both New York City and Los Angeles. Now, UCB member Matt Walsh is branching out into directing with his first film, High Road.
A rare photo of who we believe to be the infamous Harold.
The film is loaded with comedy ringers, with folks from UCB, Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show and more, including Horatio Sanz, Abby Elliott, Ed Helms and even Tenacious D's Kyle Gass. The movie claims to be "totally improvised," and well...it kind of looks like it. For our money though, there isn't much funnier than dudes taking wicked bong-rips, and High Road has that in spades. Judge for yourself with the offical red band trailer:
Whether that clip whet your appetite for more of the UCB brand of chaos, or you just need a palette cleanser after all the rambling conversations and plotlessness, waste a few more minutes of your ever-shortening lifespan with some Matt Walsh UCB clips. What else are you doing with your life anyway? You should think about going back to school.
