How do you make a money-printing franchise like The Twilight Saga even more of a financial juggernaut? Break up the final film, Breaking Dawn, into a two parts, sit back, and wait for the teen gir -- er, die-hard Twilight fans to line up.
Today, Summit Entertainment confirmed via press release that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will indeed be two-parter, with most industry analysts pointing to the fact that the saga's final chapter would simply be too complex to try and wrap up in one film. We're not saying we're suspect of this decision, after all, there's nothing wrong with giving fans a satisfying ending to a property that's as beloved as Twilight, but man, brilliant move stretching out this unstoppable force of money-makin', perfectly-sculpted ab showcasin' dreaminess.
Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct both parts of Breaking Dawn, and the film's core cast of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all on board for the last hurrah before they begin looking for "more serious roles"...then settling on a life shilling autographs for $20 a pop on the comic convention circuit.
The third film of the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is set to ht theaters on June 30.
