Some fans seem to think Bane is a dumb brute. Not only is that untrue, but Bane is in fact the complete opposite. He's defined as being a genius with a photographic memory. Between physical training and killing other inmates, the Bat bad guy also flexed his mental capabilities by reading text books while working out, meditating instead of sleeping, and seeking to learn everything he could while trapped on the island. He has such a gifted IQ that he was able to easily deduce Batman's true identity (spoiler alert: it's Bruce Wayne) when he went to Gotham and even memorized a dead language from just a few pages. Seeing as Bane is apparently the man behind the master plot in The Dark Knight Rises, we're sure he'll be sporting a rather gifted level of intellect in that as well.
