It’s easy to overlook Chow’s contributions to the last 15 years, given that a vast majority of his work has only been intended for Chinese audiences (and likewise, the bad press surrounding his role in Green Hornet didn’t help his cause either). However, just try and look away from films like Shaolin Soccer or Kung Fu Hustle—films that take equal parts heart, comedy and physics-defying action—it’s nearly impossible! Mr. Chow, please make more films for us—we’ll gladly read the subtitles!
