Silent Hill 2 Is Moving Forward

While Resident Evil has already had a few sequels, to the point of even moving forward with a reboot while the latest film has yet to even be finished, people have been waiting for a confirmation of a sequel that other horror video game movie. Silent Hill 2 is going to happen, and it will happen with Roger Avary and Samuel Hadida reprising their roles as screenwriter and producer, respectively.

While I wasn't a big fan of the original film, I will say that it had the most spot on atmosphere and presentation of any game to film adaptation yet. While the story and certain elements changed quite a bit during the translation, it definitely felt like you were watching Silent Hill as a movie, which really can't be said about just about any other VG movie yet. What wasn't proven, however, was whether or not the Silent Hill story really lends to a film adaptation. I guess we'll have to see what kind of legs the series has once it officially becomes a franchise!
