The Hollywood Reporter just announced that Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James and Chester Gregory II will lead the cast of DreamWorks' Broadway-bound show "Shrek the Musical," set to premiere in Seattle on August 14 before it makes its way to Broadway on December 14.
As previously announced, Tony winner Sutton Foster will appear as Princess Fiona, Christopher Sieber will play Lord Farquaad and Kecia Lewis-Evans has been cast as the Dragon.
DreamWorks Animation's first venture in legitimate theater will be directed by Avenue Q's Jason Moore with book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.
