Character: Kate Connor

Powers/Abilities: Medical Expertise, Fiery Red Hair

Why She's Hot: In a movie about killer robots trying to wipe out the human race, it would be easy to classify any woman who can take down one of those metal murderers or survive a cataclysmic event like Judgment Day as "sexy", but that's not why we're truly impressed with Bryce Dallas Howard.

Have you seen her mental case husband? John Connor has about eight different types of post-traumatic stress disorder (not to mention he's still fighting the robot war) and somehow, Kate's the only one who can put him in his place and soothe his broken soul. There's nothing hotter than a military puppeteer!

Character:  Angie (Gamer)

Powers/Abilities: Looks Good in Black-Light

Why She's Hot: Let's face it, there's nothing about Gamer that isn't either gritty or sleazy, and frankly, we're okay with that. So Amber Valletta's sexiness quotient isn't based so much on classic good looks so much as how hot she appears in a leather S&M outfit running through a black-lit sex club...which is fairly substantial, by the way.

 

Character: Galia (Star Trek)

Powers/Abilities: Green Skin/Access to Starfleet Academy Computers

Why She's Hot: You know the joke about Captain Kirk always shagging green-skinned alien women? Well, prior to Rachel Nichols covering herself in emerald bodypaint and cavorting around half-naked on a bed, those women were never that attractive. That said, given the example in J.J. Abrams vision of the Star Trek universe, we're now far more inclined to accept romantic advances from strangely hued females, whatever their planet of origin.

Character: Miranda Lawson (Mass Effect 2)

Powers/Abilities: Can Fit Into Her Uniform

Why She's Hot: Oh, Yvonne Strahovski. . .how to do you manage to be so damn attractive in both real life and videogames? Throughout much of the first few hours of Mass Effect 2, you may get the feeling that Miranda Lawson, a fictional character, looks somehow familiar. It'll nag at you until you look at the credits and realize that in creating a character for voice-over actress Yvonne Strahovski, they also shaped Miranda's physical features to look very similar. Add a skin-tight, sci-fi uniform to a pretty face and alluring voice and we'll gladly make sure that our Commander Shepard pursues that particular romantic sub-plot.

Character: Zoe Carter (Eureka)

Powers/Abilities: Exceptionally High I.Q.

Why She's Hot: Now that her eighteenth birthday has come and gone, we can finally give Eureka's Zoe Carter a place on this list. Played by the youthful and spirited Jordan Hinson, Zoe is constantly clamoring for the attention of her parents, using her remarkably high I.Q. to cause typical teenage chaos, but eventually heads off to MIT to romance all the fellas in Beantown. Either way, she's cute as a button and genius to boot.

Character:  Abbey Tyler (The Fourth Kind)

Powers/Abilities: Excellent Screamer/Co-Pay with Sliding Scale

Why She's Hot:  Every man in America has fantasized about whisking away actress Milla Jovovich and probing her thoroughly, but probably not as literally as the aliens in The Fourth Kind.  Who could expect different treatment when you decide to stay around a small Alaskan town as everybody you come in contact with eventually gets abducted by UFO's. On the flipside, perhaps the aliens beamed her up as a prime physical example of our species with the intention of cloning her.  In which case, we'd like to place our order.

Character: Red She Hulk (Hulk)

Powers/Abilities: Superhuman Strength/Accelerated Healing

Why She's Hot: If you ever found yourself reading Hulk comic books or watching any of the Hulk films and thinking to yourself, "If Hulk were a woman, with red skin and long hair, she'd be kinda hot," then the appearance of Red She-Hulk must have been right up your alley. And frankly, somebody on this list has to represent for the big-boned alien babes of sci-fi. They can't all be petite, green-skinned women, after all.

Character: Beth (Repo Men)

Powers/Abilities: Bionic Woman

Why She's Hot: Since Alice Braga's turn in the upcoming Predators has yet to hit the big screens, we'll have to include her role in this year's sci-fi actioner Repo Men as a woman enhanced by advanced, sci-fi surgeries of the future. While audiences will be able to see her laser-targeting Predators later this year, they've already gotten a taste of just how badly this lovely, young woman can kick some ass alongside Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.

Character: Vanille (Final Fantasy XIII)

Powers/Abilities:  Great Fashion Sense

Why She's Hot: Have you ever met a woman with everything going on - astounding looks, amazing clothes, impressive talents, the ability to summon ethereal warlords - except that she unfortunately has a voice that'll drive you insane? Well, that's Vanille, one several heroines in Final Fantasy XIII, although the most likely to earn the audiences "Must Muzzle" award.

That said, she's a great gal to have along if you need a medic in your party. She's got healer's hands, you might say...
