Jeremy Renner Talks Hawkeye Costume

Earth's mightiest marksman not so into purple digs.

Jeremy Renner has let slip to MTV what fans should expect when Hawkeye shoots onto the screen as part of The Avengers - and the color "purple" does not enter into the equation.

Renner said, "I think it's going to be a little more reality-based. You can kind of tell with Scarlett [Johansson]'s character [in Iron Man 2], it's going to be more of a uniform . . . and not a big purple, comics sort of thing."

He also goes on to hint that Hawkeye and Scarlett's Black Widow will develop a romance amid their superhero hijinks. So what does this statement lead us to ponder? Well, the fact that he will be in a similar black uniform to Widow leads me to think Marvel's The Avengers might have a more UNIFORM look altogether, ala X-Men, once Thor, Captain America, etc decide to get the band together.
