One of the most talked-about titles at this year's SXSW Festival was Red, White and Blue, a new horror/thriller from Simon Rumley (The Living and the Dead). That film has been turning genre fans heads and even earning comparisons to David Cronenberg. The film follows a hedonistic girl named Erica (Amanda Fuller) who is made to suffer the consequences of her wanton boozing and sexual promiscuity. But don't take my word for it-here's what the critics have to say about Red, White and Blue.

Bloody Disgusting's Tim Anderson : "...Red, White & Blue is a slow-burn thriller that uses every available frame of film to further the filmmakers distinct vision and melancholy scripting."

Cinematical's Peter Hall : "Red, White & Blue does not just get under your skin, it flays it from your very bones."

Fearnet's Scott Weinberg : "If you believe a genre film can be ice-cold cruel and no fun at all, but is still worth seeing for its anger, its insight, and its unflinching forays into dark places we're all familiar with, then I highly recommend you keep an eye out for the low-budget but highly fascinating Red, White & Blue."

Film School Rejects' Landon Palmer : "It's simply the exact opposite of what one would expect from a low-budget horror film, as it deftly explores the horrifying capabilities of men and women when pushed to the limits of reason in an unreasonable world."

Twitch Film's Peter Martin : "Gut-twisting and soul-troubling, Simon Rumley's latest film fires a stun gun into the heart of horror."

Red, White & Blue currently doesn't have distribution, but you can bet we'll let you know when it does.
