Sometimes a project acts as talent magnet. Just look at the names behind Ponyo, the newest film from Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle director Hayao Miyazaki. Ushering in the English language version are producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy and co-directing is Pixar's John Lasseter. In the cast is Liam Neeson, Cloris Leachman, Matt Damon and Tina Fey.
The film is about a goldfish's quest to become human. Hey, if Miyazaki-san said his new movie was about the slow process of armhair growing I'd want to see it.
In theaters August 14th. MPAA rating is TBD.
