I recently yapped to Nick Frost about the Blu-ray release of Paul. The conversation naturally turned to T-shirts.
I suppose I'm just obsessed with Frost's wardrobe or something. Read this very funny exchange on how the gamer-sized Frost dressed for success when shooting The Adventures of Tintin.
Jordan Hoffman: So later this year we'll get to see you in Tintin, huh?
Nick Frost: I play one half of the Thomson Twins . Simon [Pegg] is the other half.
Jordan Hoffman: Oh, that guy again.
Nick Frost: Yeah, I’m sick of that guy. The Twins are, I suppose you’d call them bumbling detectives. They think they are a lot greater than they are – they are actually bad at detecting things, but thank God for Tintin.
Jordan Hoffman: This was not voice-over work, this was performance capture. You were in the gray spandex with the lightbulbs on you.
Nick Frost: Oh, yeeeeeah. And what a treat that was for the ladies on the crew!
Jordan Hoffman: Where are the leaked spy pictures of that?
Nick Frost: Oh God! Oh no! I hope the power of Spielberg keeps those from getting out. It’s fine if you are Daniel Craig or Jamie Bell. But I don’t look so good.
Jordan Hoffman: So, I gotta know about that first day. You and Simon have known one another for one hundred years, so did you put on the gray spandex together? And then look at one another and think, what the hell have we gotten ourselves into?
Nick Frost: Yes. We did. We looked at one another and talked for a bit. . . then James Bond walked by in a handmade one. . . and I looked like the thing that chased Indiana Jones at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Rolling down. . . crushing Alfred Molina.
The Adventures of Tintin will be in theaters December 23.
