Both actors are currently in negotiations to join World War Z, based on Max Brooks' zombie novel of the same.

Are you sick of vampires and werewolves? Well, unfortunately, no one but us is ready for the big Gill-man fad to kick in, so it looks like you're going to have to revert back to zombie movies. Luckily, World War Z's shambling, unkempt cast is continuing to grow in numbers, with actors Matthew Fox and Ed Harris possibly the most recent thespians to become infected.

Fox, of course, is best known for playing Racer X in Speed Racer, though we're told he also had a role in some kind of network television show, Missing or something like that? Meanwhile, Harris is an extremely well-regarded actor who's shown in the past that he's not afraid to get his hands dirty with genre work, with memorable appearances in A History of Violence, Apaloosa and others. Frankly, however, we're just a little shocked at how he could go from starring in the year's most critically acclaimed direct-to-DVD release from a studio owned by a wrestling company to this.

Matthew Fox's finest moment to date.

Fox and Harris would join a cast that already includes Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale in the Marc Forster-directed flick. The film is based upon Max "Son of Mel" Brooks' novel World War Z, which is formatted like a oral history of a zombie takeover that occurred a decade prior to the writing.
