It's a rough life, being the Movies Editor of UGO.com. When the interns aren't filing your toenails as you espouse witticisms
on the internet, you are flying to Paris to hang out with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
The purpose was The Tourist, the lithe Hitchcock-esque suspense/romantic comedy/thriller set on some of
Europe's most beautiful stages. The film, directed by the wonderfully named Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, features one of Depp's most curious roles, that of a very unhip Math teacher fumbling his way through international intrigue.
As I nibbled on Laduree cookies, fellow journalists and I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Depp, who popped across the Channel direct from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. So, yes, he did have his gold teeth in.
