The Strategic Homeland, Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division isn't the only shield to be found in Iron Man.
Those of you with sharp eyes saw that, while Tony Stark was fiddling about in his suit (and Pepper Potts was trying not to laugh at him) Cap's shield was laying on a work table behind him.
What this could mean is anyone's guess, though check out FirstShowing for some theories.
UPDATED!
Those of you lucky enough to have seen Iron Man 2 know that Cap's shield plays an even bigger part in that film.
As Tony Stark is preparing to create a "new element" to replace palladium in the Mark V suit, he needs something to wedge under some of his hastily slapped together instruments. Much to the shock of Agent Phil Coulson, he picks up what looks like a half-built Captain America shield.
It is clear, though, that Stark doesn't know what it is - but it makes it seem as though Howard Stark was the creator of the device.
