Yeah, yeah. I hate Jar Jar, you hate Jar Jar, we all hate Jar Jar. But Lucas likes Jar Jar, and he's the one in charge of this stuff.
Fortunately, Lucas is willing to compromise. Unfortunately, because he wants Jar Jar around but knows we hate him, the inevitable Star Wars change is, just as in Episodes II & III, Jar Jar being digitally inserted into the original trilogy as a silent background character.
Expect a little background Jar Jar action in any scene where lots of people run around. He'll be on Hoth, he'll be on Endor, he'll hang out on both Death Stars. Of course he'll be front and center when Luke, Chewie, and Han get their medals at the end of Episode IV.
Eventually, Lucas will get bored with Jar Jar and have him replaced with an Andy Serkis version who will ultimately become our favorite character in the whole series.
